    We check your code scans before you print it

    QR Cake reads your design back the way a camera would and links every fix to the control that changes it.

    Design choices can quietly break a QR code: too little contrast between the pattern and the background, a logo covering too much of it, or durability set too low. As you design, QR Cake now reads your own code back the way a phone camera would and tells you when it will not scan, or when it may be hard to scan. Every suggestion is a link, so choosing to make the logo smaller, put it behind the code or raise durability takes you straight to that control and highlights it.

    Frames, captions and logos behind the code

    Four frame styles, a short caption, and a new way to combine a QR code with your artwork.

    Your QR code can now sit inside a frame: a plain outline, a card, or a band carrying a caption above or below the code. The caption starts as SCAN ME and is kept short so it always fits. There is also a new way to use a logo. Instead of sitting in the middle, it can go behind the code, so the pattern is drawn on top and your artwork shows through the gaps, with a slider to set how large that artwork is. It works best with a simple logo.

    Pause and resume any QR code

    Take a code offline without deleting it, and free an active-code slot on your plan.

    Every code in your dashboard now has a switch. Pausing one takes it offline for scanners while keeping everything else in place: the code itself, its design and its scan history are untouched, and one click brings it back. Pausing also frees one of your plan's active-code slots, which is handy when a campaign finishes and you would rather reuse the allowance than move up a plan. An Active or Inactive badge on each row shows which of your codes are live.

    A new analytics dashboard

    Clearer scan stats: trends, a best-time heatmap, a world map, and a live feed.

    We rebuilt the analytics page from the ground up. Each QR code now opens with the numbers that matter (scans, unique visitors and how they compare with the previous period), a scans-over-time chart you can switch between week, month and year, a heatmap that shows which days and hours your code gets scanned most, and a dot map of where scans come from with a country list beside it. Device, operating system and browser splits sit below, and the live feed shows scans as they happen. Analytics is included on Pro and Business plans.

    Billing: switch plans any time, see your credit, pay in your currency

    Move between monthly and yearly, keep a scheduled cancellation from going through, and pay in 16+ currencies.

    Billing got a set of small but useful changes. You can switch a subscription between monthly and yearly whenever you like, and any credit from a plan change shows on your billing page so you always know what your next invoice will use. If you cancel and change your mind, one click keeps the plan running. Invoices are linked from the billing page, and prices are shown and charged in your own currency, including the Indian rupee and the Brazilian real added this summer.

    New guided generators: Google Forms, YouTube, events, weddings and more

    Purpose-built pages that preselect the right QR type and explain the details that matter.

    We added a set of guided generator pages for common jobs. Each one opens the creator with the right type selected and explains what to expect: a Google Forms QR code that points at your form's responder link, YouTube codes for videos, playlists and channels, event codes that add the date to a calendar in one tap, business codes managed from one dashboard, and a wedding page for photo sharing, RSVPs and registries. All of them make dynamic codes, so you can change the destination after printing.

    A simpler way to create QR codes, with more ways to style them

    A redesigned creation flow, eye styles, gradient fills, a logo library, and bigger uploads.

    Creating a QR code now happens in one clean flow: pick a type, add your content, watch the live preview and download. On the design side there are new eye styles, gradient fills, larger style previews so you can compare options at a glance, and a library of ready-made brand logos to drop into the center of a code. Upload limits went up too: video files up to 200 MB, audio up to 100 MB, other files up to 50 MB and images up to 25 MB, the same on every plan.

    The Canva app gets the new design options

    Eye styles, gradients, logo presets, and sign-up without leaving Canva.

    The QR Cake app for Canva now has the same design options as the website: eye styles, gradient fills with adjustable color stops, cropped style previews, and the library of brand logos. You can also create a QR Cake account without leaving Canva, which is what unlocks editable dynamic codes and scan tracking. Static codes still need no account at all.

    QR Cake now speaks 38 languages

    Indonesian, Traditional Chinese and Arabic join the site, and we suggest your language when you arrive.

    Three languages joined QR Cake this month: Indonesian, Traditional Chinese, and Arabic, our first right-to-left language, with the interface, the landing pages and the guides translated. If you land on a page whose language does not match your browser, a small banner now offers to switch you to your own. That takes the site to 38 languages, with local pricing wherever we support the currency.

    Pick a plan and sign up in one place

    Choosing a plan while logged out now opens sign-up right there, then goes straight to checkout.

    Until now, picking a plan on the pricing page while logged out sent you off to the sign-up page and forgot which plan you chose. Now a small sign-up window opens in place, and once your account exists you land directly in the checkout for the plan you picked, whether you signed up with email, Google or Apple. Existing users can log in the same way.

    We've refreshed your QR Cake landing pages with a cleaner, more modern design: buttons you can highlight as the primary action, automatic icons on your links, and ready-made colour themes to match your brand in one tap. There's a new Review QR code type that points customers straight to Google, Trustpilot, Yelp and more, and event pages now support start and end times, a location with a map link, one-tap add-to-calendar (Google, Apple, Outlook) and action buttons like "Buy tickets". Shared pages also unfurl with a proper preview, and scan pages load faster.
